2. Put a 50 ton screw jack (1) in position under the equalizer bar. Lift the side of the machine to put the equalizer bar pads under compression. 3. Remove two bolts (5) from the outside of lower pad assembly (3) on the opposite side of the machine.4. Slide the pad assemblies out until they are against the frame.5. Remove outer two bolts and nuts (4) that hold upper pad assembly (2) and lower pad assembly (3) together. The inner two bolts and nuts are guides. 6. Put the 50 ton screw jack (1) under the other side of the equalizer bar and lift the side of the machine. 7. Remove the bolts that hold lower pad assembly (6) to the equalizer bar.8. Move lower pad assembly (6) and upper pad assembly (7) out until they are against the frame.9. Remove the outer bolts that hold the pad assemblies together.10. Remove lower pad assembly (6) and upper pad assembly (7) from the machine.11. Use the 50 ton screw jack and lift the opposite side of the machine. Remove pad assemblies (3) and (2). The following steps are for installation of the equalizer bar pads.12. Put the 50 ton screw jack under the right side of the equalizer bar and lift the side of the machine.13. Put upper pad assembly (2) and lower pad assembly (3) in position on the left side of the machine. Do not bolt the pads together at this time.14. Put the jack in position under the left side of the equalizer bar. Lift the left side of the machine.15. Put upper pad assembly (7) and lower pad assembly (6) in position on the right side of the equalizer bar.16. Install the outer bolts that hold pad assemblies (6) and (7) together.17. Put the pad assemblies in position and install the bolts that hold pad assembly (6) to the equalizer bar.18. Move the jack to the right side of the equalizer bar and raise the right side of the machine.19. Install the bolts and nuts (4) to hold pad assemblies (2) and (3) together.20. Put the pad assemblies in position and install two bolts (5).21. Lower the machine to the ground.22. Install the front and middle bottom guards.
