Ensure that the DEF dosing cabinet has been shut off.
Disconnect the DEF line at the dosing cabinet and drain the DEF line into a suitable container.
Disconnect air and DEF lines from the DEF injector.
Remove covers to access injector flange.
Remove flange bolts.
Remove the DEF injector (1).
Inspect and clean the nozzle by flushing the nozzle with warm water. Brush the nozzle as needed to dislodge debris. Severe deposits may be loosened by immersing the lance in water. Ensure that the nozzle tip is clean.
Dry the nozzle.
Install the DEF injector with the nozzle in the correct position. The correct position is in the direction of exhaust flow. Ensure the DEF and air line inlets face the same direction as the DEF nozzle. Tighten the flange bolts to the proper torque. Install covers.
Install the air and DEF lines.
