A new bracket is now available and should be used whenever the combustion air tube is being replaced. Use the following procedure when making a repair.

(1) 6V-8490 Bolt (2) 5P-4115 Hard Washer (3) 5G-4313 Spacer
Remove the 6V-8490 Bolt (1), the 5P-4115 Hard Washer (2), and the 5G-4313 Spacer (3) from the 317-2678 Clean Gas Induction Control Gp .
Discard the 5G-4313 Spacer (3) .

Install the 380-5846 Bracket (4), orienting the slotted end under the clip. Attach the washer (2) and hand tighten the bolt (1) .

Insert the 291-6641 Clip (5) onto the 318-6187 Tube As (8) .
Align the bracket and the 3E-4352 Hard Washer (7) with the clip hole.
Hand tighten the 6V-5217 Bolt (6)
Tighten bolt (1) to 12 3 N m (9 2 lb ft).
Tighten bolt (6) to 28 7 N m (21 5 lb ft).

Be sure that the 290-2102 Bracket As (12) is still attached to the shield and tube assembly.
Use the parts listed in Illustration 4 to secure the 291-9951 Tube As (13) to the bracket.
