This Program can be administered either before or after a failure. In either case the decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer. When reporting the repair, use "PS8446" as the Part Number and "7755" as the Group Number. If administered before failure, use "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "T" as the SIMS Description Code. If administered after failure, use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.
This Revised Service Letter replaces the January 27, 1996 (Revised May 1996) Service Letter. Changes have been made to the Service Claim Allowances.
Termination Date
January 31, 1997Problem
The steering clutch may not completely disengage due to low steering clutch oil pressure on certain D3C, D4C Series III, D5C Tractors and 933 Track Type Loaders. This may result in slow steering performance and brake wear. A new control valve needs to be installed.

1. Pedal Steer Machines: Replace the current 8Y6735 Valve Groups with 1178825 Valve Groups. Both of the 1178825 Valve Groups must be oriented so that the port connecting to the 8Y2223 Tube Assembly faces to the outside of the machine. See Illustration 1.2.
