13     Out of calibration    Normal mode (mode 0) is the display mode for normal machine operation. When the ARC is in the normal mode, the display will show important information that is used by the service personnel. That information is listed below.
The ARC is in proper operating condition. Whenever the key switch is turned to the ON position, the display performs a self test. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "System Self Test". The Power Indicator (1) remains on in order to show that the power is applied to the ARC.
A system fault had happened. The ARC continuously checks for faults in the ARC system. Faults are detected by the ARC when a signal is out of range. Detected faults are stored in memory and shown on readout (9) .
The retarder lamp flashes in order to notify the operator or the service personnel that a fault is present. Each of the detected faults consist of two identifiers and an indicator. The identifier is displayed on readout (9). Service personnel interpret the identifiers in order to assist with troubleshooting. The identifiers and indicators are listed below.
The Component Identifier (CID) is a three digit code that tells the components and/or circuits that are faulty. The CID is shown on the readout (9). For example, the readout 710 appears on the display. Check the chart for 710. This code would indicate that the circuit for the supply solenoid is faulty.
The Failure Mode Identifier (FMI) is a two digit code that tells the type of fault that happened. The two digit code is preceded by the letter
