The fan motor is a bent axis type motor. The motor is also a piston type motor. The motor has a fixed displacement of oil volume per revolution. The fan drive motor is mounted on a frame in front of the radiator.The components of the motor that rotate are shaft (1), retainer plate (3), pistons (4) and barrel (6). The parts that do not turn are head (8), case (2), and port plate (7).When the drive shaft turns, the drive shaft turns the fan blade at the same speed.Any internal leakage drains back to the hydraulic tank through the drain passage.The fan motor turns the fan at a speed in order to match the cooling system requirements. When the requirements of the cooling system are met, the power demand on the engine is decreased.
