Install 5P5005 Reducer on one end of 6V3081 Hose and install 4M5317 Bushing on the other end. Install 6V4144 Coupler on the bushing (on the end of the hose). Install 6V3965 Nipple on 8T0859 Gauge.2. Remove the plate (cover) from in front of the implement control valve.3. Remove cap (2) from the tee fitting, on the inlet housing of the control valve, and immediately install the reducer and hose on the tee fitting. Put the nipple on the gauge into the coupling assembly.
Control Valve (Bulldozer) (Covers Removed)
(1) Valve (main relief). (2) Cap.4. Start and run the engine. With the engine at high idle rpm, lift the bulldozer to the limit of its travel. Hold the lift control lever in the RAISE position (at relief valve pressure) for not more than 5 seconds then lower the bulldozer. Again lift the bulldozer to its limit and hold the control lever in the RAISE position for 5 seconds. Do this RAISE, HOLD, LOWER cycle as many times as required to get the hydraulic oil to 38°C (100°F), or more, temperature.5. When the temperature of the hydraulic oil is more than 38°C (100°F), lift the bulldozer to the top of its travel. Look at the pressure gauge and move the lift control lever to the RAISE position for 5 seconds. The high reading on the gauge is the pressure setting of main relief valve (1). The correct pressure setting for the main relief valve is 17 225 345 kPa (2500 50 psi). If the pressure reading on the gauge is not correct, the main relief valve must be adjusted.Main Relief Valve Adjustment
