STICK GP-HOE 4938705 - Caterpillar

Problem
If excessive pressure occurs it can cause the aftercooler cover to crack or break on certain 3412 SI Engines. A new cast iron aftercooler cover need to be installed on these engines.

Parts Stock
Remove all 2W2295 Covers-Aftercooler from parts stock.
Affected Product
Remove the existing aluminum aftercooler cover and replace it with the new cast iron group. The gaps between the water tank and the core fins must be plugged with 8T9014 or 3S6252 Silicon Adhesive Sealant.

Parts Stock
Submit one claim for all 2W2295 Covers-Aftercooler that were removed from parts stock.
Affected Product
This is a 1-hour job.
Parts Disposition
Any parts removed (with the exception of cores used for Caterpillar Remanufactured parts) can be rendered useless and scrapped immediately upon completion of the repair.
MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO COMPLETE THIS PROGRAM AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
