The 6V7028 Spring Seat Enlarger (1) is used to increase the spring seat diameter in the 9L7230, 9L9270, 9L9145, 9N1107 or 9N2362 Cylinder Heads on the above naturally aspirated 3200 Engines. After the spring seat diameter is increased to 42.16 .25mm (1.660 .010"), the new, larger diameter 1W4259 Valve Springs and 1W9897 Spacers can be installed. Thoroughly clean the spring seats in the cylinder head. Make sure the bottom of the depth stop (2) is clean before each use of the tool. 1 Install 6V7028 Spring Seat Enlarger (1) in a 12.7 mm (.50") electric drill (3) that operates at 500-700 rpm.2 Put pilot (4) into the valve guide until depth stop (2) makes contact with the spring seat. Start the electric drill and slowly use pressure to move the spring seat enlarger against the spring seat. The spring loaded depth stop controls the depth of cut of the spring seat enlarger.3 Clean the cylinder head after all bores are machined.For repair or replacement of worn or damaged carbide cutting tips, send the cutter to:K-Line Industries, Inc.
