Personal injury or death can occur from a counterweight falling during removal or installation.Do not allow personnel under or around the counterweight during removal or installation.Make sure that the lifting device is in good condition and is capable of handling the weight of the counterweight.

Position a suitable lift truck under counterweight (1). The weight of counterweight (1) is approximately 1021 kg (2250 lb).
Remove bolts (2) and the washers. Use the suitable lift truck in order to remove counterweight (1).

Remove bolts (3).

Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to counterweight (4). The weight of counterweight (4) is approximately 1354 kg (2985 lb).

Remove screws (5) and remove light assembly (6). Disconnect harness assembly (7) (not shown). Repeat this step for the opposite side of the machine.

Remove pin (8). Remove bolts (9) and the washers. Use Tooling (A) and the suitable lifting device in order to move counterweight (4) away from the machine. Note: Be sure that harness assembly (7) does not catch on anything during the process of moving counterweight (4) away from the machine.
Lower counterweight (4) to the ground. Installation Procedure
Install counterweight (4) and counterweight (1) in the reverse order of removal.
