STOP-IDLE DETENT 8N3087 - Caterpillar

Removal Procedure
Start By:
Remove the turbocharger. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Turbocharger - Remove".
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Remove elbow assembly (4) .
Disconnect riser assembly (1) . Position riser assembly (1) out of the way of exhaust manifold (3) . Remove bracket (5) and disconnect tube assembly (6) .
Remove nuts (2) , the washers, and the spacers.
Remove exhaust manifold (3) .Installation Procedure

Apply Tooling (A) to the studs prior to assembly. If necessary, install the studs and tighten to a torque of 35 5 N m (26 4 lb ft).
Position exhaust manifold (3) on the engine.
Install the spacers, the washers, and nuts (2) . Tighten nuts (2) in a numerical sequence to a torque of 38 5 N m (28 4 lb ft).
Connect riser assembly (1) . Install elbow assembly (4) .
Connect tube assembly (6) . Install bracket (5) .End By: Install the turbocharger. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Turbocharger - Install".
