When reporting the repair, use "PS0742" as the Part Number, "7755" as the Group Number, and "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code. Termination Date

Problem
The stick cylinder may leak thus indicating that the rod has developed longitudinal scratches caused by interference with the cylinder head.

Action Required
When replacing the 8U5574 or 8U5590 Cylinder Rod, install the modified cylinder head with the new repair kit. Please refer to Service Manual SENR4346.

Contrary to normal Caterpillar practices SALVAGE COSTS are NOT accepted. We emphasize that only referenced problem warrants a replacement of the ROD under PS0742.
