Diesel engine exhaust contains products of combustion which may cause personal injury.Always start and operate the engine in a well ventilated area, and, if in an enclosed area, vent the exhaust to the outside.
For maximum service life of the machine, perform a thorough walk-around inspection before you mount the machine and before you start the engine.
Illustration 1 g00916213Raise the steering frame lock pin. Secure the pin in the unlocked position. In order to steer the machine, the steering frame lock pin must be in the unlocked position.Look around the machine and under the machine. Look for trash buildup, loose bolts, trash, oil leaks, coolant leaks, broken parts, or worn parts.Inspect the condition of the hydraulic components.Check the oil levels, the coolant level, and the fuel level.Remove any trash buildup and debris.
