289-0585 Control Manifold Gp The 293-6585 Solenoid Valve Gp (2) and the 289-0585 Control Manifold Gp (1) for the parking brake is failing on certain F-Series and G-Series trucks. There have been several failures of the valves but there are few failed parts that have been returned for failure analysis.Solution
Caterpillar is trying to determine the failure mode of the valve groups but are having difficulty in getting failed parts returned. Caterpillar is requesting that any failures of the 293-6585 Solenoid Valve Gp and the 289-0585 Control Manifold Gp that occur on the listed machines are returned for analysis. There is an active "Send It Back" request open in the warranty system. The open request can be accessed when the part number is entered into the warranty system.Replace 289-0585 Control Manifold Gp with new 361-2239 Control Manifold Gp and 293-6585 Solenoid Valve Gp with new 293-6585 Solenoid Valve Gp .
