3. Make sure the surface of packing cup (3) on service piston (2) is clean and free of dirt, oil and grease.
Do not permit any sealant to get on the outer lip of packing cup (3). Sealant must be permitted to become dry (cure) at least eight hours before the piston is assembled to the cylinder.
4. Put 3S-6252 Sealant-RTV-White on the surface of service piston (2) for packing cup (3) and retainer (4).5. Install packing cup (3) on service piston (2) with the outer lip edge toward retainer (4). Make sure the packing cup is in the correct position on its seat, and wipe off all excess sealant. 6. Install retainer (4) for the packing cup, and fasten it in position with the screws. 7. Install spring (7) and spring locater (6) on piston (2), as shown, and fasten it in place with jam nut (5). 8. Install bearing (8) on emergency piston (9). Make sure the tabs are in position and locked over the piston flange. 9. Make sure the surface for packing cup (10) on emergency piston (9) is clean and free of dirt, oil and grease.

10. Put 3S-6252 Sealant-RTV-White on the surface of emergency piston (9) for packing cup (10).11. Install packing cup (10) on emergency piston (9) with the long outer lip toward the center support. 12. Install cup retainer (11), and fasten it in place with the screws.
