The following Tests can be performed to the Implement ECM:
Implement Cycle Time Lift Check Test - A lift time check tests how much time a lift linkage takes to be raised from the full lower position to the full raise position. The test checks time by controlling one or more implement pumps, monitoring lift linkage position, and recording the lift time. This information is then used to point to issues with the implement valves, implement pumps or to issues with the flow sharing system.
Cylinder Drift Checks Test - A cylinder drift check is a test to see how much a cylinder moves over a specified time with the engine at low idle and no implement command. Large cylinder drifts generally point to a problem with the hydraulic system and can be used to diagnose faulty valves and seals. This information provides a convenient means of checking cylinder drift which can be used to diagnose problems related to valve leakage and seal leakage.
Keypad Button Test - Keypad button test checks the operation of each button on the keypad.
Implement Hydraulic Service Mode Test - Implement hydraulic service mode is provided to allow the service technician to disable implement features to perform service-related procedures. The routine shall allow the service technician to perform desired service or diagnostic tests without interference from software features.Transmission ECM Tests
Transmission Main Relief Valve Test - Transmission Main Relief Valve Tests the maximum pressure of the oil that is delivered to the transmission clutches by the transmission modulating valves. Also, the main relief valve protects the transmission hydraulic system from any high-pressure spikes.
Transmission Hydraulic Control Clutch Pressure Test- This test shows the clutch pressures for each individual transmission gear.ET Setup
To access the test procedures for the Implement ECM, establish the connections of the Cat ET to the machine. Navigate to the test screen by clicking "Service" on the tool bar and then clicking "Tests". Click the test that is needed.Once the specific calibration is selected, the Cat ET will guide you through the test procedure. The Cat ET will list initial machine conditions that must be satisfied before the ECM will allow the test procedure to continue. Follow the specific instructions on the display to complete the test procedure.Test Procedure
Connect Caterpillar ET to the machine. The ET connector is on the control panel on the right side of the cab.
Turn the engine start switch to the ON position.
Open the ET software program.
When ET has started, start the engine. Run the engine at high idle. Warm the hydraulic oil to normal operating temperature.
Select "Transmission (M - Series machine)". Press the
