Introduction
A new calibration procedure is now required for the 9X-0891 Flow Analyzer . Use the following procedure to zero and calibrate the flow analyzer.Note: If Nu-Flow is printed on the front of the flow analyzer, use this special instruction in order to calibrate the flow analyzer. If Halliburton is printed on the front of the flow analyzer, use Specifications, Systems Operation/Testing, and Adjusting, KENR2983, "Water Spray System" in order to calibrate the flow analyzer.Calibration Procedures
Resetting Volume Totals (Zero or Preset Volume)
There will be situations when you may wish to reset the volume total to zero. There will be situations when you may wish to reset the volume total to another known volume. For example, when you replace a flow analyzer you can enter the volume total from the previous analyzer as a beginning point for resuming the volume total count on the new unit.In order to reset the volume total, perform the following steps:
Verify that you are in the "RUN" mode.
Press "RESET" on the keypad. The prompt "SEt.tot" will appear in the top display. "no" (default setting) will appear in the lower display.Note: If the security option is enabled, you will be prompted for a password.
Press "INCREMENT" in order to toggle the bottom display from "no" to "YES".
Press "ENTER/STEP" in order to accept the selection. A series of zero's will appear in the bottom display. The digit that is located all the way to the right side will begin flashing. This will allow you to enter a volume total value.
In order to zero the volume total, press "ACCESS" without entering a value. The prompt "SAVing" will appear in the lower display while the information is saved to nonvolatile memory. When the "SAVing" function is complete, the top display should contain only zero's.
In order to enter a volume total, press "INCREMENT" repeatedly. This will enable you to select the last digit of the value that you need to enter. Then press "ENTER/STEP" in order to accept the selection. The digit that is left of the digit that you entered will begin to blink. This will allow you to repeat the digit selection process for the rest of the digits that are in your volume total. The prompt "SAVing" will appear in the lower display while the information is saved to nonvolatile memory. The MC-II will then begin totaling the volume starting with the volume total that you entered.Timing OutIf the MC-II is left in the calibrate mode for longer than one minute, the MC-II will time out. The MC-II will return to the "Run" mode. Data that is stored with the "ENTER/STEP" key will be saved. Data that was selected and not entered will be lost.Calibrate the MC-II
The following information is needed in order to calibrate the MC-II:
Unit of measure for volume
Flow meter calibration factor (pulses per gallon)
Unit of measure for flow rate
Press "ACCESS" in order to enter "Calibrate" mode. "Prog.no" will appear in the top display and the version number of the firmware will appear in the bottom display.
