Use Tooling (E) to remove retaining nut (1). Remove retaining nut (1) .

Rotate pinion (6) to reposition plunger (4). Reposition plunger (4) to remove valve retainer (5). Remove valve retainer (5) .

Note: Plunger clamp (7) halves are matched pairs. Place identification marks on clamp (7) for installation purposes.
Remove bolts (8) and plunger clamp (7).
