Lift Kickout
The lift pilot valve has detents in two positions: RAISE and FLOAT. The lift kickout will cause the lift control lever to return to the HOLD position when the bucket reaches the set height. The kickout height can be changed by adjusting the position of the lift positioner switch. The pilot valve for the bucket positioner has one detent in the TILT BACK position. The tilt kickout will cause the tilt control lever to return to the HOLD position when the bucket reaches the set angle. Two controllers that are mounted on the left tilt cylinder and a switch that is located in the operator's cab allow the bucket to have two positions.

Components of the Lift Kickout (1) Lift positioner switch. (2) Switch holder. (3) Magnet assembly. The lift kickout consists of lift positioner switch (1), magnet assembly (3) and an electromagnetic detent. Magnet assembly (3) is located on the pivot of the lift arm. The electromagnetic detent is part of the lift pilot valve.Lift positioner switch (1) is normally closed. The switch only opens when magnet assembly (3) contacts the switch. When the operator moves the lift control lever to the RAISE position, the bottom of the spool in the lift pilot valve contacts the energized electromagnet. The electromagnet will hold the lift control lever in the RAISE position. As the bucket raises, magnet assembly (3) moves in the direction of lift positioner switch (1). When the magnet assembly nears the switch, the switch opens. This stops the current flow to the electromagnet and the electric circuit is broken. When the current flow is interrupted, the electromagnetic detent can not hold the valve spool in place. A spring moves the valve spool and the lift control lever to the HOLD position. The lift arms stop shortly before the lift cylinder rods are fully extended. The lift arms will stay at this position until the operator places the lift control lever in the LOWER position. When the operator moves the lift control lever to the LOWER position, the lift arms will lower. As magnet assembly (3) moves away from lift positioner switch (1), the switch contacts will close.Reference: For more information about the lift kickout, refer to the Operation And Maintenance Manual for the machine that is being serviced.Reference: For more information about the specifications for the lift kickout, refer to the Service Manual module Specifications, "Hydraulic System" for the machine that is being serviced.Reference: For more information about testing and adjusting the lift kickout, refer to the Service Manual moduleTesting And Adjusting, "Hydraulic System " for the machine that is being serviced.Bucket Or Work Tool Positioner
