Note: The speed gauge maximum indicated speed is a function of the maximum forward ground speed setting. When the maximum forward ground speed is set at 7.2 km/h (4.5 mph), the gauge will indicate up to 2.25.Cable (Deceleration Pedal) - Adjust
Use the following procedure to adjust the cable.
Illustration 12 g00814345
Remove three bolts (1) and washers.
Remove engine access panel (2) .
Illustration 13 g01058092
(1) Loose contact between clevis pin and governor plate
Place the governor control in the HIGH IDLE position. If the machine is equipped with a heater control console, set the clearance between the heater control console and the governor control to 10 3 mm (0.40 0.12 inch).
Adjust the clevis until the clevis pin is in loose contact with the rear of the slot in the governor plate.
Illustration 14 g01058105
Move the governor control fully to the LOW IDLE position.
Fully depress the deceleration pedal.
While the deceleration pedal is fully depressed, adjust clevis (2) so that the hole in clevis (2) aligns with the corresponding hole in governor plate (3). Refer to Illustration 14.
Illustration 15 g01058110
Rotate clevis (2) counterclockwise. Rotate the clevis approximately 4.5 times.Note: The position of the clevis should be similar to Illustration 15.
Illustration 16 g01058111
Release the deceleration pedal.
Move the governor control fully to the HIGH IDLE position.
Pull clevis (2) into position. Install clevis pin (4) .
Verify the following information:
Verify that the engine speed is reduced to 900 50 RPM when the deceleration pedal is fully depressed.
Verify that the engine speed is reduced to 850 50 RPM when the governor control is in the LOW IDLE position.
Verify that clevis pin (1) moves freely in the slot when the deceleration pedal is activated.
After calibration is complete, move the governor control to the LOW IDLE position while the engine is running. Verify that the engine speed is above the underspeed setpoint.Refer to Troubleshooting, "Diagnostic Capabilities - Status Groups for the Electronic Technician".Diagnostic Capabilities
Use the following event codes.Active Event Codes
Illustration 17 g00788686
An active event indicator is provided in order to monitor events that are currently flagged as a system problem. The information that is provided for an active event is an event identifier (EID) and a text description of the problem.Logged Event Codes
Illustration 18 g00789603
A logged event indicator is provided in order to monitor events that are intermittent or recurring. The data for the logged event will include the following information:
An event identifier (EID)
A text description of the problem
The number of occurrences of the problem
Time stamped information for the first occurrence of the problem
Time stamped information for the last occurrence of the problem
Table 3
Event Codes     Description
188     Service brake pedal not actuating parking brake
190     Engine overspeed condition
395     Transmission stall condition
482 (1)     Unexpected left track forward movement detected
483 (1)     Unexpected right track forward movement detected
