Location of the components in the mountings.Installation Procedure:
1. Attach the new 7U9030 Mountings (1) to the radiator shroud using the existing hardware. Transfer the existing 2U4432 Side and Indicator Lamp Assemblies to the new mountings.2. Install the 9X7170 High Beam Headlamp (2) above the 9X7169 Low Beam Headlamp (5) using 8T4121 Washer (6) and 8T4133 Nut (7) as shown.3. Fasten the 7T0969 (4) and 7T0970 (3) Horns on the rear of the left bracket as shown and connect the wires. On factory installed units, new harnesses are used on both sides of the machine. For field installation, splice the wires which are too short.4. Use existing clips, to fasten the harness as shown.5. The illustration shows the left side arrangement. The right side is similar except that there are no horns.6. Tighten the lamp mounting bolts to a torque of 18 to 32 N m (13 to 24 lb ft).7. After adjusting the beams, tighten the lamp pivot bolts to 8 to 16 N m (6 to 12 lb ft).8. Current radiator shrouds have a slot (A), which breaks into the 32 mm (1.25 in) diameter hole for the harness. This slot is a aid to disassembly and can be incorporated on older machines in service. Make the slot 14 mm (.56 in) wide.
