Use Tooling (L) in order to measure the thickness of thrust washer (13), plate (14), and discs (15). Subtract the thickness of the bar stock. Record Dimension (T).
Determine the piston stroke by subtracting Dimension (T) from Dimension (Z). Note: The piston stroke must be 2.6 0.2 mm (0.10 0.01 inch).Note: Plates are available in various thicknesses.Note: Install the thinner plates to the outside of the pack.

Push in on sun gear (7). Use Tooling (L) to measure the distance from the end of the sun gear to the mating surface on the hub, as shown. Subtract the thickness of the bar stock. Record this dimension as Dimension (J).
Subtract Dimension (J) from Dimension (H). Record this dimension as Dimension (K). Subtract the desired end play of 0.50 0.10 mm (0.020 0.004 inch) from dimension (K) in order to determine the correct thickness of thrust washer (6).
