C - Loctite C5A Copper Anti-Seize 1 Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, all parts should be thoroughly cleaned in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Do not use wiping cloths or rags to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.Note: Check the O-ring seals, the gaskets, and the seals for wear or for damage. Replace the components, if necessary.

Position flat seal (6) into the recessed area in vibration damper (5).

Install Tooling (B) into the crankshaft.
Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to vibration damper (5). The weight of vibration damper (5) is approximately 140 kg (309 lb). Position vibration damper (5).
Alignment mark (X) on vibration damper (5) must line up with mark (X) on the crankshaft.
Apply Tooling (C) to bolts (4). Install bolts (4) and remove Tooling (B). Install remaining bolts (4). Tighten bolts (4) evenly to a torque of 1150 60 N m (848 44 lb ft).Note: Tighten bolts (4) in a cross pattern.

Install shield assembly (3).
Position guard (2) and install bolts (1).
