STUD ASSEM. 2H9196 - Caterpillar

1. Disconnect washer hose (1) from the elbow on the cab.2. Loosen two setscrews (2) in lever (3), and remove lever (3) from the shaft. 3. Remove the two clips from the refrigerant line. Remove nuts (4), and remove bracket (5) and the arm assembly from the cab. 4. Remove clips (6) that hold the washer tube to the rod. Remove clip (7), shim and rod (10). Remove nut (9), lockwasher and arm assembly (8) from the link. 5. Use a hammer and punch to carefully remove drive (11) from the arm assembly only if a replacement of the arm assembly is necessary. 6. Use tool (A) to remove snap ring (12) from link (13). Remove spring washer (14) and link (13) from the bracket. 7. Remove bearing (15) from the bracket. 8. Remove nut (16), the washer and gasket from the neck of the wiper motor. 9. Disconnect connector (17) in the wire harness.10. Remove screw (18), and remove wiper motor (19) from the cab.Install Windshield Wiper Motors And Linkages (Rear)
1. Put the wiper motor in position in the cab, and install screw (2) to hold it in place.2. Connect harness (1) to the harness on the wiper motor. 3. Install the gasket, washer and nut (3) on the neck of the wiper motor.4. Operate the wiper motor, and let it stop in the parking position. 5. Use tooling (A) to install the bearing in bracket (4). 6. Install link (5) in bracket (4) as shown, and install spring washer (6) and snap ring (7) on the link. Use tool (B) to install the snap ring (7). 7. Put lock (9) and shim (10) in position on the link with the shim next to the link. Install rod (8) through lock (9), shim (10) and the link. Push lock (9) into position on rod (8) as shown. 8. Put bracket (4) in position on the cab, and install the nuts that hold it in place. Install clips (1) on the refrigerant line.
RIGHT SIDE
LEFT SIDE9. Put lever (12) in position on the shaft of the wiper motor at the angle shown. Tighten the setscrews that hold the lever in position. Be sure to install lever (12) at the angle shown for the right or left side of the machine. 10. Install driver (13) on the link. Put wiper arm (14) in position on the driver so it is approximately parallel to the window frame as shown. Install the lockwasher and nut to hold the wiper arm in place. 11. Connect washer hose (15) to the elbow in the cab. Install clips (16) that hold the washer hose to the rod.
