Use Tooling (A) and the suitable lifting device in order to align the bores.

Apply Tooling (P) to the upper bores.
Install pin (19) (not shown). Position cover (18) and install bolts (17) .Note: Do not tighten bolts (16) at this time.
Install bolts (16) .

ApplyTooling (P) to the lower bores.
Install pin (23) .

Connect steering frame lock (25). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect".

Note: Proper alignment of the bores will ensure that spacer (24) will seat properly.
Install spacer (24) in the lower hitch. Make sure that spacer (24) is installed in the original position.

Tighten bolts (16) to a torque of 105 20 N m (78 15 lb ft) onto cover (18) .

Install lock plate (22). Install two bolts (21). Tighten bolts (21) to a torque of 68 14 N m (50 10 lb ft).
Use a thickness feeler gauge to measure the distance between the frame and lock plate (22). Check completely around lock plate (22). Record the minimum measurement that is found.

Remove lock plate (22) .
Install the shim pack under lock plate (22). The shim pack thickness should equal the measurement from Step 55.

Install lock plate (22), the shim pack, and bolts (20) and (21). Tighten bolts (20) to a torque of 105 20 N m (78 15 lb ft). Tighten bolts (21) to a torque of 215 40 N m (159 30 lb ft).
Remove Tooling (A), Tooling (B), the suitable lifting device, and the suitable cribbing from the machine.

Install shims (14) (not shown), pin assembly (13), and bolt (12). Repeat this step for the other steering cylinder.

Position bracket (9) and install bolts (8). Connect hose assemblies (11) and (10) .

Connect harness assembly (3) .
Connect cable straps (4) .
Install guard (5) to fuel tank (2) .
Connect hose assemblies (7) .
Turn shutoff valves (6) to the ON position.

Connect hose assembly (1) .
Fill the hydraulic tank. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Capacities - Refill" for the capacity of the hydraulic tank. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hydraulic System Oil - Change".
Fill the fuel tank with fuel.End By:
Install the center drive shaft. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Drive Shaft (Center) - Remove and Install".
Install the cab. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Cab - Install".
Install the front guard. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Front Guard - Remove and Install".
Install the landfill bulldozer blade. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Landfill Bulldozer Group - Install".
