Warning Signs and Labels
There may be several specific safety and warning signs on your engine. Please take the time to familiarize yourself with the safety signs.Make sure that you can read all the films and signs. Clean or replace these if you cannot read the words or see the pictures. When cleaning the labels use a cloth, water and soap.Do not use solvents, gasoline, etc., to clean safety signs. The use of solvents, gasoline, etc., could loosen the sign's adhesive and cause the sign to fall off.You must replace a label if it is damaged, missing or cannot be read. If a label is on a part that is replaced, make sure a new label is installed on the replaced part. See your Caterpillar dealer for new labels.Operation Of Package
The operation of package warning label is located on the rear of the enclosure.

Do not operate, tow, or work on this unit unless you have read and understand the instructions and warnings in the Operation and Maintenance Manuals. Failure to follow the warnings and instructions could result in injury or death. Contact any Caterpillar dealer for replacement manuals. Proper care is your responsibility.
Generator-Electrical
The generator-electrical warning label is located in two places on the unit, inside of the enclosure. One generator-electrical warning label (1) is located on the barrel of the generator. The other generator-electrical warning label (2) is located on the clear plastic cover which covers the distribution panel.

Do not connect generator to a utility electrical distribution system unless it is isolated from the system. Electrical feedback into the distribution system can occur and could cause personal injury or death.Open and secure main distribution system switch. Or if the connection is permanent, install a double throw transfer switch to prevent electrical feedback. Some generators are specifically approved by a utility to run in parallel with the distribution system and isolation may not be required. Always check with your utility as to the applicable circumstances.
Trailer
The trailer warning label is located at the front of the trailer on the tongue assembly.

Do not uncouple the trailer from the tow vehicle until the wheels are securely blocked or chocked. Failure to do so could result in injury.Before towing inspect the coupling devices and check the retaining bolts. Required torque is 273 37 lb ft (370 50 N m).
Trailer Towing
The trailer towing warning label is located on the trailer tongue.

Failure to utilize an appropriate and properly sized tow vehicle with a level-horizontal hitch connection could lead to excessive towing sway resulting in personal injury or death.
