Introduction
The 7C1599 Cylinder Head Gasket is now used on all production 3208 Engines.The 7W2059 Cylinder Head Gasket is used on all Remanufactured 1100, 3100 and 3208 Engines.Refer to Special Instruction SEHS8612 entitled Installation of Head Gasket (With New Torque Procedure) for head gasket installation procedure.
The 7C1599 Cylinder Head Gasket MUST NOT be used in engines that have cylinder sleeves installed in the cylinder block. The gasket fire ring may not seal properly on the sleeve, possibly resulting in head gasket failure and/or engine damage. Use the 7W2059 Cylinder Head Gasket in a cylinder block that has cylinder sleeves. The 7W2059 Gasket has a larger diameter fire ring that will seal on the cylinder block around the outside of the sleeve, instead of on top of the sleeve.
