1 - Track Master Link Bolt Use the following procedure to tighten the single tooth track master link bolts:
1. Before assembly, apply 5P-3931 Anti-Seize Compound on the threads, the body, and the washer face of each bolt.
2. Torque the bolts to 1500 150 N m (1106 111 lb ft).
3. Tighten the bolts by an additional turn of 90 5 degrees.(2)
2 - Track Link Bolt Use the following procedure to tighten the track link bolts:
1. Before assembly, apply 2P-2506 Thread Lubricant on the threads, the body, and the washer face of each bolt.
2. Torque the bolts to 1500 150 N m (1106 111 lb ft).
3. Tighten the bolts by an additional turn of 120 5 degrees.
4. Install the nuts so that the rounded side mates to the round nut seat in the link.
(1) All joints of the link assembly must have flexibility even with a measurable end play of zero. Flexibility is the ability for movement from the weight of the link assembly.
(2) Turn value for single tooth master bolts is different than the turn value for five tooth master bolts.
