Adjusting The Cutter Depth Control Limit Switches
The automatic depth control limit switches are adjustable laterally to set the tolerances within which the depth control operates. The distance between switch (1) and switch (2) determines the amount of variation in depth control. The variation in depth increases as the switches are positioned closer together. To adjust the switches to the minimum tolerance: 1. Loosen four capscrews (3). Slide the switches horizontally until each switch roller (4) rests in the radius at each end of the cam notch. Tighten the capscrews. 2. Raise each limit switch roller 1.6 mm (.06 in) and listen for a "CLICK" from each switch. If the click is heard at that position, no adjustment is required. If the click is heard before or after that position, adjust the roller arm so that the click is heard when the roller arm is raised 1.6 mm (.06 in).
