Park the machine on a smooth, level surface. Ensure that the work tool is not loaded by material.
Move the transmission direction control switch to the NEUTRAL position.
Engage the parking brake.
Place the steering frame lock in the LOCKED position.
Start the engine. Warm the hydraulic oil to normal operating temperature of approximately 52.5° 7.5°C (94.5° 13.5°F).
Raise the blade to the maximum height and move the control lever to the hold position.
Make an identification mark 50 mm (2 inch) away from the rod end cover plate on the lift cylinder.
Turn the engine start switch to the OFF position.
