Track guides are installed on the four corners of the undercarriage frame. The right front track guide is shown in this illustration.The track guides minimize the risk of derailment during the transition between different levels of terrain. The track guides also minimize the risk of derailment during operations on slopes that are within the operational limits of the machines.Note: Refer to "Operating on a Slope" in the Operating and Maintenance Manual for information on proper machine operations on transitions and on slopes.The 215-4007 Track Guide Guard Gp is available by Miscellaneous Parts Order (MPO) from BCP Sanford.The Special Instruction, REHS1199, "Field Installation of the 215-4007 Track Guide Guard Gp " is also available. This Special Instruction provides the information that is necessary for field installation of the track guides. This publication is available through the normal literature distribution system.
