ASPHALT PAVER,
Information:
3-1 Preparation
Make the following preparations prior to disassembly:(1) Workbench with vise The workbench must have enough space to place and hold parts during work. Soft jaws are needed for the vise.(2) Tools and supplies Prepare the tools and supplies shown in 2-2.3-2 General Precautions
(1) Use care in handling precision made parts during work to avoid damage caused by striking other parts or by being dropped.(2) Never strike or prize parts forcibly when they are held fast, so as to prevent damage, burring, oil leakage or lowered performance. Use care and patience.(3) Protect parts from corrosion and dust when disassembly is interrupted for some time. Parts rust easily due to moisture or dust when left disassembled.3-3 Disassembly Procedure
(1) Clean tension yoke with stem cleaner.(2) Loosen bolts (2) with off-set wrench, then remove bolts (2) and spring washers (1) from tension yoke (3). (3) Disconnect tension yoke (3) from support A (7). (4) Screw eyebolts into support A (7), attach lifting tool to eyebolts, then move spring assembly to spring compressor. (5) Place spring assembly in spring compressor. * Place spring assembly with support B (10) on the spring compressor hydraulic cylinder side. (6) Apply pressure to rod (11) and support B (10), loosen nuts (4) with a shock spanner and hand hammer, then remove nuts (4), (5) and washers (6) from rod (11). (7) Gradually release the pressure of spring compressor and reduce the spring force of spring (8). (8) Remove rod (11) and support B (10) from spring assembly. (9) Remove pipe (9) from spring (8). (10) Attach lifting tool to spring (8), then remove spring (8) from support A (7) with a crane. * Attach lifting tool to the center of spring (8) winding direction. (11) Inspection of spring 1. Inspection Check for dents, wear due to contact, fine cracks in right angle against winding direction, damage due to foreign matter caught and corrosion pit on the spring (8) surface.2. Remedy 1) Reuse allowed after grinding off the following with a hand grinder. * Scratch in right angle against the spring diameter direction of less than 1% of the diameter.* Damage in the length direction of less than 3% of the diameter.2) Replace spring (8) if fine cracks are found at right angle against the winding direction.3) If corrosion pit is found, first apply zinc rich under coat paint, then the finish enamel paint. Nylon coating is also good.
