Disconnect the electrical connection (2). When you tighten the connector nut to the transformer, tighten the nut in the clockwise direction with Tool (A) until the nut is tight.
Remove three bolts (1).
Remove the transformer (3) and the gasket. Check the gasket for wear or damage. Replace the gasket, if necessary.
Remove the spark plug extension (not shown).

Replace the spark plug (not shown). If the threads of the spark plug are dirty, clean the threads of the spark plug. Also clean the sealing surface in the cylinder head. Remove the tube assembly in order to clean this surface.
Tighten the spark plug to a torque of 70 4 N m (50 3 lb ft). The gap for the spark plug is 0.28 0.04 mm (0.011 0.001 inch). Note: If you reuse a spark plug, always use a new gasket.
Replace the spark plug extension (not shown).

Replace the transformer (3) and the gasket. Replace the gasket.
Replace three bolts (1).
Connect the electrical connection (2). When you tighten the connector nut to the transformer, tighten the nut in the clockwise direction with Tool (A) until the nut is tight.
