9. Remove retaining plate (7).10. Pull probe (8) from the air conditioning coil. Be careful not to damage the probe or the coils.11. Remove heater coil (9) and evaporator coil (10). It is not necessary to discharge the refrigerant from the air conditioning system. 12. Disconnect all wiring inside the case assembly. 13. Remove six nuts from studs (11) and remove the case assembly from the front of the cab. 14. Remove and discard the 7T8901 Seal from the bottom of case assembly (2). Clean the gasket surface. A new gasket will be installed at assembly.15. Cut away support (12) from the inside of the case assembly. 16. Using 9X1329 Plate Assembly (13) as a template, transfer all openings and holes from the plate assembly to the bottom surface of the case. Do not transfer the three holes in the side flange at location (A) to the case. These holes are not used. 17. Cut out the openings marked on the bottom of the case assembly. 18. Drill five 3/8" Ø holes and sixteen 3/16" Ø holes marked on the case.19. Deburr and clean the case. Check and blow out the condensate lines, take care not to dislodge the 7T9793 Valves. 20. Screw a 7X0499 Clinch Nut onto C845 Rivnut Fastener Header (14). Advance the anvil until it is tight on the head of the clinch nut. Insert the clinch nut in one of the 3/8" Ø holes in 9X1329 Plate Assembly (15).21. Hold the jack screw stationary with a hex wrench, then turn the hex nut in a counterclockwise direction with a wrench. Make sure to hold the tool at right angles to the work.22. Turn the nut approximately 11/2 to 21/4 turns or until firm resistance indicates complete upset of the clinch nut.23. Break the clinch nut loose with a clockwise movement. Remove both wrenches and unscrew the tool from the clinch nut in a counterclockwise direction.24. Install clinch nuts in the remainder of the 3/8" Ø holes. 25. Apply 9X1330 Seal (16) on plate (15). The seal is self-adhesive with a crack and peel backing. Start at the edge away from the flange. 26. Using 3G3265 Rivets for alignment, clamp plate (15) to the bottom of case assembly (2). Set the sixteen 3G3265 Rivets.27. Remove the backing and apply 9X0326 Seal around the small square opening in plate (15). Apply 9X0318 Seal around the large opening. 28. Install and clamp hose (17) to the case assembly. Install and bolt fresh air filter housing assembly (18) to the case assembly. 29. The original filter mount located in the fire wall is being replaced with a new 8R4737 Filter Mounting. Use the following steps to scribe cut lines on the fire wall to mark the section of the cab to be removed.a. Locate the three mounting studs for the air conditioning housing on the the left hand side of the fire wall. Place a straight edge against the inside edge of the mounting studs and scribe a
