Introduction
The counterweight hydraulic circuit includes the following items: a gear pump, a counterweight control valve and a hydraulic cylinder. There is an adjustable relief valve in the body of the counterweight control valve. This test is used to ensure that the relief valve pressure is set properly in the counterweight control valve.Required Tools

Move the machine to a smooth horizontal location. Move away from working machines and personnel.
Allow only one operator on the machine. Keep all other personnel away from the machine or in the view of the operator.
Engage the parking brake.
Fully extend the counterweight.
Stop the engine.

Counterweight control lever (1) RETRACT (2) HOLD (3) EXTEND
Move the counterweight control lever to all three positions in order to release the pressure in the counterweight hydraulic circuit.
Remove the access panel that is just to the right of the operator's seat.

Pressure tap for the counterweight hydraulic circuit
Connect tooling (A or B) to the pressure tap for the counterweight hydraulic circuit. This pressure tap is located behind the access panel to the right of the operator's seat.
Start the engine. Warm the hydraulic oil to a temperature of 65° 3°C (149 ° 5 °F).
Operate the engine at HIGH IDLE.
Move the counterweight control lever to the RETRACT position.
Check the pressure at tooling (A or B). The pressure at tooling (A or B) should be 18100 200 kPa (2625 30 psi).
If the pressure at tooling (A or B) is not within the specified limits, perform the following adjustment procedure.Adjustment Procedure
