51. Remove nuts, washers and bolts (67). Remove top cushions (66) from both sides of engine front support (68).
When installation of the engine is made, bracket (69) must be installed before the truck is put back into service. Damage to the turbochargers could result if the bracket is not in place while in service.
52. Remove the bolts and bracket (69). 53. Mark for identification and disconnect wires (70).54. Remove tube assembly (71).
Check to be sure all lines, hoses and wires are disconnected and out of the way before removing the engine.
55. Fasten a hoist and tooling (A) to the engine. Remove the engine and torque converter, from the truck. The weight of the engine and torque converter is approximately 9625 kg (23,620 lb). Install tube assembly (71).60. Identify and connect wires (70).

61. Install the bolts and bracket (69). 62. Install ground strap (65) to the engine front support. 63. Connect drive shaft (60), (auxiliary drive shaft) and install bolts (62).64. Install the bolts that hold drive shaft guard (61) and install drive shaft guard (61). 65. Connect cable (59) to the tackometer drive. 66. Connect hose assembly (57).67. Connect hose assembly (58). 68. Connect hose assembly (54) to the side of the torque converter.69. Connect hose assembly (55) to the torque converter inlet relief valve.70. Connect hose assembly (56) to the torque converter housing. 71. Connect hose assembly (51) to the top of the torque converter.72. Connect hose assemblies (50), (52), and (53) to the lockup clutch valve. 73. Connect hose assemblies (47) and (48).74. Connect hose assembly (49). 75. Connect hose assembly (45).76. Connect hose assembly (46). 77. Connect hose (43) to tube (44) and tighten two hose clamps. 78. Install hose (40) to the transmission oil cooler and tighten two hose clamps.79. Connect hoses (41) and (42) to the valve assemblies. Tighten the hose clamps. 80. Connect hose assembly (37) to fuel transfer pump (38).81. Connect fuel return hose assembly (39). 82. Connect the hose assembly to fitting (36). 83. Turn the fuel supply on at fuel tank shut-off valve (34). 84. Connect hose (33) to the air starter. 85.
