Put clean hydraulic oil on all seals and wipers before they are installed. Also put clean oil on the rod assemblies and the cylinder bore.1. Fit new seals to gland (3), adaptor (4) and pistons (7).2. Assemble pistons (7) to rods (5). Ensure pistons (7) are correctly seated. Tighten cap screws (6) to 28 7 N m (20 5 lb ft).3. Fit rod (5a) to gland (3) and rod (5b) to adaptor (4).4. Slide the rod and adaptor (4) into its tube (2) and the rod and gland (3) into its tube (2).5. Rotate adaptor (4) until the wire hole show through tube (2) slot. Push wire (1) [cut to 118 mm (4.65 inch) long] into the hole and rotate adaptor (4) inside tube (2) to pull wire (1) fully into its groove. Fit gland (3) and wire (1) in a similar manner.6. Fit tube (2) to adaptor (4) and fit wire (1) as above. Rotate all parts to give the required port orientation. End By:a. Install the hoist/ejector control cylinder. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Control Cylinder (Hoist/Ejector Control Valve) - Install" for the machine that is being serviced.
