Removal Procedure
Start By:
Remove the evaporator coil. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Evaporator Coil - Remove and Install". Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the removal procedure, the exterior of the component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.

Remove bolt (3) and the washer.
Remove four washer head screws (2) in order to remove bracket (4) from valve assembly (1).

Remove four washer head screws (6) in order to remove valve assembly (1) and plate (7) from heater coil assembly (8).
Remove O-ring seal (5) (not shown) from valve assembly (1).

Remove heater coil assembly (8) from air conditioner housing (9). Installation Procedure
Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the installation procedure, all parts should be thoroughly cleaned in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble.
Check all of the O-ring seals and the components for wear or damage. Replace the components, if necessary.
Lubricate all of the O-ring seals with 1U-6396 O-Ring Assembly Compound prior to installation.

Install heater coil assembly (8) into air conditioner housing (9), as shown.

Install O-ring seal (5) (not shown) onto valve assembly (1).
Use four washer head screws (6) in order to install valve assembly (1) and plate (7) onto heater coil assembly (8).

Use four washer head screws (2) in order to install bracket (4) onto valve assembly (1).
Install bolt (3) and the washer. End By:
Install the evaporator coil. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Evaporator Coil - Remove and Install".
