To change between "Weigh" and "Standby" modes, select the "(1) Standby/Weigh" function key on the monitor. The functions can also be changed by selecting the "Standby/Weigh" button location is on left joystick (if enabled).Note: The Cat® "Production Measurement Application" must be calibrated for the weigh mode to function. If not already calibrated, refer to the Testing and Adjusting, "Calibration" section within this manual.Weigh Bucket Payload
To obtain an accurate weigh of the bucket payload, observe the following:
Ensure that the machine is not operating on a slope greater than 10 degrees.
Ensure that the bucket is clean and free of material before loading.
Ensure that the swing speed is between 5 degrees/second and 35 degrees/second. (Note: A swing outside the listed range may result in an error, resulting in "Reweight" of the load.)
Maintain continuous swing for longer than 2.4 seconds.
Ensure that the boom and stick are operated with a payload greater than 500 kg (1100 lb).
Ensure that Boom angle (A) is less than 55 degrees. (Refer to illustration 19.)
Ensure that Stick angle (B) is greater than 42 degrees. (Refer to illustration 19.)
Ensure that the bucket is not tilted when the tilt bucket is installed and selected.

Place the Cat® "Production Measurement Application" is in the "Weigh" mode.
Proceed to load the bucket with material.
Swing the bucket.Note: Maintain consistent, smooth lift and swing speed.
The system will start to weigh the payload when swing starts. A "Weigh Status" indicator will illuminate on the status bar while the bucket payload is being determined.Evaluate Bucket Payload Accuracy
"Weigh Status" indicator (4), on the status bar, displays the accuracy of the bucket payload. Additional symbols that will appear when the payload is being measured include:

(D) Estimated Weigh CompleteEstimated Payload - A "WHITE" weigh symbol on a black background will illuminate on the status bar when the bucket payload is being determined. The symbol will also be displayed when a scaled payload has not been determined.Scaled Payload Obtained - A "BLACK" weigh symbol on a green background will illuminate on the status bar when a scaled payload has been obtained.Scaled Payload Complete - A "GREEN" square will be displayed when the truck has been loaded with a scaled payload. If enabled, an alarm may also sound. The status will remain until the next weigh operation.Estimated Weigh Complete - A "BLACK" square will be displayed when the truck has been loaded with an estimated payload. The status will remain until the next weigh operation.Once a payload weight has been obtained, the value on the status bar display will remain until any of the following conditions occur:
A new "Bucket Payload" is obtained.
"Truck Store" is selected.
"Standby" is selected.
