When submitting claim for Parts Stock Action, Use the appropriate 99Z as the s/n, the appropriate Service Letter Program Number as the Part number in the Part Causing Failure field, "7751" as the Group Number, "56" as the Description Code.
The information supplied in this service letter may not be valid after the termination date of this program.Do not perform the work outlined in this Service Letter after the termination date without first contacting your Caterpillar product analyst.

PROBLEM
Issues have been found with the design and assembly procedure that can cause the pressure switch to incorrectly indicate filter bypass.
ACTION REQUIRED
Inspect the date code of all dealer stock 341-6644 Pressure Switch As. Refer to Image 1.
The date code can be interpreted by substituting the appropriate number for each letter as shown below. The sequence for the code is DDMMYY.

In addition to the date code, the updated design pressure switches can be identified by the addition of the "EC02" following "CAT" above the part number. Refer to Image 2.
If the date code is URNEUE (14 Mar, 2013) or after, mark the package to indicate that the part has been inspected according to this program and return the part to dealer parts stock. The pressure switch has been manufactured with the latest improvements and is okay to use.
If the date code is UENEUE (13 Mar, 2013) or before, remove the pressure switch from dealer parts stock.

Handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling.
