a) remove retaining ring (78), collar (77), spring (76) and shims (75).b) Remove retaining ring (74) and sleeve (73) from rod (79). 29. Turn lever (80) to permit the piston assembly to slide out. Remove piston assembly (81) from the brake control valve body.
Spiral lockring (85) holds spring (83) under compression.
30. Remove spiral lockring (85), stem (84) and spring (83) from piston (82). 31. Remove bolt (89). Remove lever assembly (80) and washer (88) from the shaft. The pin can be removed from the lever if a replacement is needed.32. Remove plug (86). Remove bolt (87) that holds the yoke to the shaft. 33. While shaft (92) is removed, remove spacer (91), yoke (93) and spacer (90). 34. Remove four retaining rings (95) with tool (D) that hold dowels (94) in place. Use a punch and hammer to remove dowels (94) from yoke (93). 35. Remove lip type seal (96) from the brake control valve body.36. Remove bearing (98) with tooling (B).37. Remove bearing (97) from the brake control valve body.38. Disassemble the other side of the brake control valve body the same way.39. Remove all plugs and fittings to clean the valve bodies.Assemble Steering And Brake Control Valve
1. Inspect all O-ring seals and gaskets for damage and make replacements if needed. Make sure the valve bodies and all parts of the valve are clean. Put clean hydraulic oil on all the parts.2. Install two bearings (1) with tooling (B) in the brake control valve body. 3. Put 7M7260 Liquid Gasket Material on the seal bore and let it become dry. Install lip type seal (2) with the lip of the seal toward the inside of the valve body with tooling (B).4. Put lubricant that is to be sealed on the lip of the seal. 5. Install dowels (4) in yoke (3). Install retaining rings (5) that hold the dowels in place with tool (D). 6. Put spacer (6), yoke (3) and spacer (7) in position in the brake control valve body. Slide shaft (8) into position through the yoke and spacers. Install a new pin in the lever if it was removed from the lever. 7. Put washer (9) and lever assembly (10) in position on the shaft.8. Install the bolts that hold lever assembly (10) and yoke (3) in place on the shaft.9. Do Steps 2 through 8 and assemble the other side of the brake control valve body. 10. Install spring (12), stem (13) and spiral lockring (14) in each piston (11). 11. Turn the levers so the yoke will slide into the groove in the piston assembly. Install piston assemblies (16) in the brake control valve body.12. Install plugs (15) in the brake control valve body with tooling (B).13. Assemble each guide assembly (31) as follows: a) Install stem (23) into sleeve (17). Install retaining ring (18) on the stem.b) Install shims (19) and spring (20) on sleeve (17). Install collar (21) and retaining ring (22). 14. Install retainer (25), spring (26), poppet (27),
