5. Install the previously removed six front wear pads (D) to the front of second boom section (E).
Note: Apply Loctite #242 (not shown) onto the wear pads bolts before installation.

6. If equipped with boom brushers: Install the previously removed boom brushers (Y) to the front of second boom section (E).

7. Insert extend/retract cylinder (V) into 495-8757 Third Boom Assembly section (1) through the rear of the boom with suitable lifting equipment.
8. Uncap and connect extend/retract cylinder hoses (X) to the extend/retract cylinder (V).
9. Retract extend/retract cylinder (V) so 495-8757 Third Boom Assembly section (1) is properly placed at the rear of the boom assembly.
10. At the front of 495-8757 Third Boom Assembly section (1), install the previously removed pin (A) and secure extend/retract cylinder (V) to 495-8757 Third Boom Assembly section (1).

11. Attach the electrical cable to the string/wire in hose tray (Z) and pull through to the front of 495-8757 Third Boom Assembly section (1).
12. Pass and route tilt hoses (F) and auxiliary hoses (H) through hose tray (Z) from the rear to the front of the boom.

13. Secure tilt hoses (F) and auxiliary hoses (H) with the previously removed clamps (W) at the rear of the boom.
14. Install the rings and pin (U) to the rear of 495-8757 Third Boom Assembly section (1) and secure internal extend/retract cylinder (V).
15. Remove the supports from tubes (T) at the rear of the boom assembly.
16. Uncap and connect all hoses (R) to tubes (T).
17. Secure tubes (T) with the previously removed clamps (S) on top of the boom assembly.
18. Connect all electrical connections at the rear of the boom assembly.
19. Install the previously removed frame covers to the rear of the frame.
20. If equipped with hydraulic hitch: Install the hydraulic hitch assembly to the rear of the frame.

21. With a suitable sling around the barrel end of tilt cylinder (G), raise tilt cylinder (G) into boom head. Align the tilt cylinder barrel end bore with the boom head bore and install the tilt cylinder rings and pin (Q).
22. Uncap and connect tilt hoses (F) to tilt cylinder (G).
23. If equipped with auxiliary valve: Install auxiliary valve (I) to the front of 495-8757 Third Boom Assembly section (1). Uncap and connect auxiliary hoses (H) to auxiliary valve (I).
24. If equipped with auxiliary valve: Connect two electrical connectors (J), of boom cable assembly (K), to auxiliary valve (I).

32. Properly connect the battery. Refer to the appropriate service manual for detailed battery(s) disconnect/connect instructions.
33. Start the engine and extend lift cylinder (G) and install lever assembly (P) with the previously removed pins (N and O).
34. Install link bar (M) on lever assembly (P) with the previously removed hardware.
35. Shut the engine OFF.

36. Install quick coupler (L) to link bar (M) and 495-8757 Third Boom Assembly section (1). Refer to the appropriate service manual for detailed quick coupler removal/installation instructions.
37. Install any attachment to the quick coupler assembly. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual.
38. Remove the sling/lifting equipment from the boom.
39. Install the
