1. Move the machine to put drain plug (3) in the position shown. Remove drain plug (3), and drain the oil from the final drive.2. Remove bolts (1) and cover (2) from the final drive. 3. If necessary, remove O-ring seal (4) and thrust button (5) from cover (2). 4. Remove axle (7) and sun gear (6) from the axle housing. 5. Use tool (A), and remove retainer ring (10) from axle (7).6. Remove sun gear (6) and washer (9) from the axle. The following steps are for installation of the axles. Install the steel side of washer (9) against sun gear (6).7. Install washer (9) and sun gear (6) on axle (7).8. Install retainer ring (10) on axle (7) with tool (A).9. Put axle (7) and sun gear (6) in position in the axle housing. Turn the wheel if necessary.10. Inspect O-ring seal (4) and thrust button (5) for damage or wear, and replace if necessary. Install O-ring seal (4) and thrust button (5) in cover (2). Put clean oil on O-ring seal (4).11. Turn the flat sides of three shafts (8) toward the outside as shown to provide clearance for the counterbore in cover (2).
If the cover does not fit flat up against the final drive without force, remove the cover and repeat Step 11.
12. Put cover (2) in position on the final drive, and install bolts (1) that hold it in place.13. Install plug (3) in the final drive.14. Fill the drives with oil to the correct level. See the Maintenance Guide.
