( 1 ) All six cylinders must use same crown part number
( 2 ) Tier 2 and Tier 3 piston crowns are not interchangeable. Severe damage will occur.
( 3 ) Rings must be used as set. Do not mix old and new rings.
( 4 ) Either piston crown can be used with either ring set or either liner
( 5 ) Either liner can be used with either piston crown or either ring set.The change is effective with engine serial number THX43746 that are built on 26July 2012 for engine that are produced in the Greenville factory. Also, THD00109 for engines that are produced in Seguin factory.
