Note: Apply a continuous bead of 1U-8846 Gasket Sealant between the following components: case assembly (1) and cover assembly (9), plate (8) and cover assembly (9)., housing (4) and rubber mount (2), housing (7) and rubber mount (6) and carrier (5) and slinger (10). Spread the sealant with roller and remove excess sealant if any. All surfaces should be free of oil and grease. (3) Before installation of the lip type seal, coat the bore surface in the cover with white Loctite Break loose PST. Allow sufficient time for the sealant to dry. Do not apply sealant to the case of the lip type seal. Lubricate the sealing lip of the lip type seal with the lubricant that is being sealed. Note: High voltage terminal rings must have a minimum of 10 mm (0.4 inch) distance between one another and between case and housing. High voltage leads must be clear of case and housings.
