Release all the pressure in the hydraulic system prior to disconnecting any hydraulic lines or removing any loader linkage pins. If the hydraulic oil pressure is not released completely, oil can spray out of the oil lines under high pressure. Also, there will be binding of the loader linkage pins in their bores. After removal of any pins, the loader linkage can separate suddenly. Failure to release system pressure completely can cause personal injury.
1. Remove the attachment tool from the coupler assembly.2. Raise the lift arms, and put tooling (A) in position under the crossmember of the lift arms.3. Release all the pressure from the hydraulic system. 4. Note the position of washers (1) for assembly. Remove the bolts and washers that fasten pins (2) and (4) to the frame and the rear tilt levers. Remove pin (2) and two washers (1). Remove pin (4), and remove link assembly (3) from the machine. 5. Remove seals (5) if they are damaged or if the bearing is to be removed.6. Use tooling (B), and remove the bearings from tilt link assembly (3). The following steps are for installation of the tilt link assemblies (rear).7. Lower the temperature of all bearings to be installed. Use tooling (B), and install the bearings until they are centered in their bores.8. Use tooling (C), and install lip-type seals (5) on both sides of the bearing. Be sure the lip of the seals point toward the outside of the link.9. Be sure all pins slide freely in their bores before assembly.10. Lubricate all pins, pin bores and seals with 5P960 Multipurpose Grease before assembly.11. Install the tilt link assemblies in the reverse order of removal. Be sure washers (1) are installed in their original position.12. If any loader linkage parts have been replaced with new ones, add or subtract washers (1) as needed. See Implement Control Group in Specifications.END BY:a. separation of steering frame lock link
