Customer Passwords
Two Customer Passwords can be used to prevent parameter changes without authorization. These passwords are eight characters in length. The following parameters may be protected by Customer Passwords:
Top Ground Speed
Transmission Output Shaft Revolutions Configuration
Transmission Shifter "#1" Output Torque LimitVehicle Speed Limiting
The Top Ground Speed and Transmission Output Shaft Revolutions Configuration parameters are used to limit the vehicle speed. When the vehicle speed reaches the programmed Top Ground Speed value, the engine will be limited in RPM to maintain the programmed vehicle speed. The engine is controlled over the "J1939" data link. These parameters are protected by Customer Passwords

When REVERSE is selected, the ECU activates the output at J2:5.Note: The output drivers can drive up to 2 amps.Service Brake Operation
The service brake operation is a function to read a switch input or brake switch over the data link. The engine control may already have a brake switch input for cruise control, so the transmission control can use the information that is broadcast over the data link. If the engine control does not have a brake switch attached, then attach a brake switch to the transmission control directly. The service brake information is used in order to enable certain functions and is needed by the transmission control.Parking Brake
The parking brake can be disabled or enabled using the ET service tool. The SWC input for the parking brake input shows the parking brake set when the input is a closed circuit. The parking brake is disengaged when the input has an open circuit. The programmable parameters for the parking brake have the following selections:
Installed
Installed and Neutralizer Logic is Enabled
Not InstalledWhen the parking brake option "Installed and Neutralizer Logic is Enabled"is selected, the parking brake can be used to force the transmission to shift into Neutral. This will prevent the vehicle operator from shifting into a range without additional operator interaction. Transitioning the Parking Brake control from OFF to ON after the vehicle has come to a complete stop (zero output shaft speed and zero vehicle speed broadcast over the J1939 Data Link), the transmission will shift into Neutral. Once in Neutral, the shift selector will indicate Neutral and the Desired Gear, Left "N" on the shift pad, will flash. This indicates to the operator that Neutral must be reselected in order for the transmission to shift into a desired range. The transmission will not automatically shift back into the previous range. The operator is required to select Neutral and then the desired range. The operator can then drive through the Parking Brake if desired. Once the operator selects Neutral and then a range, the Neutralization feature is overridden. The transmission will not automatically shift ba
