PID 0166 FMI 14Conditions Which Generate This Code:The Engine Control Module (ECM) detects the following conditions:
The engine coolant temperature is at least 103 °C (217 °F) for more than eight seconds.
The "Engine Coolant Temperature Derate Enable Status" parameter is programmed to "Enabled".
The engine has been running for at least three minutes.System Response:The ECM will limit power.Customer passwords are required to clear this diagnostic code.Possible Performance Effect:The engine will be derated by three percent when the engine coolant temperature is 103 °C (217 °F). The engine will be derated by six percent when the engine coolant temperature is 104 °C (219 °F).Test Step 1. Check the Coolant SystemRefer to Systems Operation/Testing and Adjusting, "Cooling System - Check".Results:
