This manual covers the Series LC generators. The Series LC generators are used in the C6.6 Generator set. This manual covers the Series LC generator and the 1000, 2000 and 3000 generator frames. The Series LC generator has the following characteristics:
Single phase or three-phase alternating current
Single bearing
Brushless type
Random wound
Four pole design
12 wire generator stator
Main stator is 2/3 pitch
Class H insulation
Interference suppression conforming to standardEN 55011, group 1, class B

A flexible coupling connects the rotor shaft (4) to the engine flywheel. The rotating main field (3) is attached to the rotor shaft. The Series LC generator is a self-ventilated generator. Air enters the generator through air vents that are located at the rear end of the generator. Air exits the generator through vents that are located at the drive end of the generator. The fan (1) attaches to the rotor shaft (4). The bearing (8) supports the rotor shaft near the exciter. The bearing is located in the rear bearing bracket (6) .
