Disconnect grease hose assembly (1).

Use Tooling (G) to remove retaining ring (2). Remove retaining ring (2) and plug (3).

Use Tooling (B) to remove locknut (5).

Use Tooling (C) to remove ball stud (4). Refer to M0080743 Tool Operating Manual , "Hammer Group" and , M0083627 , "Hydraulic Power Unit" Tool Operating Manual for the correct procedure to remove the ball stud. Repeat the step for the remaining steering link ball studs.
Repeat Steps 3 through 6 for the opposite end of the steering link.
Use Tooling (D) to support the steering link. The weight of the steering link is approximately 120 kg (265 lb).
Remove the steering link.
If necessary, repeat Steps 1 through 7 to remove the remaining steering link.Installation Procedure
Install steering link (6) in the reverse order of removal.
Apply Tooling (F) onto the taper of the ball stud (8) prior to installation.
Apply Tooling (F) onto locknut (9) prior to installation.
Use Tooling (E) to tighten locknut (9) to a torque of 2550 100 N m (1881 74 lb ft)
Use Tooling (G) to install retaining ring (2).
Refer to Steering System, Systems Operation, Testing and Adjusting, "Front Wheel - Align" for the correct alignment procedure.
